Today Kamaroutes is taking you to Mseni, a boutique-style beach lodge located in the heart of Sodwana Bay and Isimanagliso wetland park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rated amongst the top 10 scuba diving spots in the world, Sodwana’s pristine reefs offer warm, clean and colourful experiences, with huge species diversity
The lodge’s cosy cottages and lovely beach house are nestled amongst beautiful indigenous bush, which forms part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The cottages were planned, so as not to disturb the lush dune forest and most are tucked away amongst unspoilt surrounds. All cottages have a master bedroom with double or twin beds and ensuite bathroom, while self-catering Family Cottages include a small kitchenette, fridge/freezer combination and an outside barbeque area.
Mseni is privileged to have the most southerly coral reefs in Africa and guests can enjoy the opportunity to experience the Sodwana Bay Marine Reserve on a Scuba Dive .sessions. If scuba diving is not for you, you should try snorkeling in the stunning rock pools, which the whole family can enjoy during low tide. “Fat Bikes” are also available for rent at the lodge and deep-sea fishing, micro lighting, walks around the area or trips to the nearby lakes can be booked on behalf of guests at reception. Humpback whales are spotted in their numbers during the months of July and November. The turtle tours are very popular between November and April, where you have a chance of experiencing Leatherback turtles nesting on our beaches.
