Hoba Meteorite

The starry sky of Damaraland and the Namibrand region are a joy for astronomy enthusiasts. Near the town of Grootfontein, the largest meteorite in the world was discovered in 1920. The Hoba meteorite is around 80,000 years old and weighs more than 50 tonnes.
