Testimonials

Our clients’ feedback is precious. Below, you will find some of the reviews of previous Kamaroutes travelers. You can also access more testimonials on our Google Reviews  and  TripAdvisor pages.

“We have travelled a lot to many countries and have been doing it for 40 years. We usually plan the trips ourselves, without an agency. However for our first experience in Southern Africa, we wanted a longer trip where we could take our time. When we started planning our trip to South Africa, Namibia and Botswana for 3 months all the reports and other travellers told us that the organization was complicated. We made contact with Kamaroutes and Vanessa her manager was able to perfectly meet our needs by ensuring a perfect organization that respected our need for freedom and above all she was always able to respond efficiently in case there was an issue (mechanical problem, from Booking ..,). Our 3-month trip from September to November was mainly done in camping and we visited South Africa, Namibia, Victoria falls, Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho. This assistance in complete safety allowed us to fully realize our trip. We are already planning another trip with Vanessa 10 days with our 3 grandchildren of 3, 6 and 10. You can trust Kamaroutes!”

“We travelled with Kamaroutes in August 2019 and we are more than delighted with the performance of this young local tour operator. Our desires were very well understood and the proposed course was in accordance with what we wanted. PHILIPPE BATISTA ( 3 FRIENDS, SELF DRIVE)

“For our last day in Johannesburg, we contacted Kamaroutes for a game drive and they were able to organise a full day in a game reserve, with lunch and all entrances included. We were picked up at our hotel in the morning and dropped off at the airport to catch our flight. I recommend Kamaroutes without hesitation.”

ALVARO MUNOZ ( COUPLE, EXPERIENCES WITH GUIDE)

“We were 2 ladies, well travelled but a bit anxious because of the safety issues we read online regarding South Africa. our trip went well and we thank Vanessa from Kamaroutes for organizing our stay. Vanessa customizes her tours to the needs of the client and remains available on site. I recommend 3 days in Cape Town, 2 Days in Kruger, 3 days in Timbavati, 2 days in Blyde River Canyon and finish the last day in Johannesburg with Mandela Museum and Soweto area.”

NADEGE MARC ( 2 LADIES, SELF DRIVE)

“We had a 3 weeks itinerary built with Kamaroutes, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Zulu Land, Swaziland and the Kruger area ( public area and private game reserves). Domestic flights and car rental were also included. We travelled without any worry or bad surprises in our trips ( roadbooks and logistics were impeccable), great choices for visits and sites and we loved the hotels. Excellent quality/price ratio and excellent service! I recommend Kamaroutes if you want an exceptional trip and this at a very affordable price!”

PATRICK MARTINEAU ( COUPLE, SELF-DRIVE)

“It was a marvellous 3 weeks trip, from Cap to Victoria Falls passing through lots of places.
Great accommodation with maybe an improvement to have for Johannesburg (see below),
Cape Town: Christopher is a perfect guide. Avoid going to Table Moutain on weekends, too many people.
Hermanus: be careful the whale season ends mid November. A must-see
Franschhoek: nice wine tasting opportunities, but you should book the top range.
Oudtshoorn: Ostriches are worth a visit and also the Cango caves
Knysna: even if it rains, the lagoon cruise is interesting. Otherwise, the city itself does not offer much interest, Mini local museum with free entry and participation in the choice.
Saint Lucia: another judicious discovery; we loved both the boat trip and the safari.
Dumazulu traditional village: really for tourists, does not offer interest.
All the game reserves we did- Hluhluhwe, Shishangeni, Sabie sands, Klaserie are different and, consequently, offer a multitude of views on the flora and fauna.
Swaziland: an obligatory detour, very enriching, very true.
Blyde river canyon: superb landscapes and panoramas, on the other hand, Pilgrim’s Rest did not inspire us. Maybe get there in the morning?
Johannesburg: excellent guides and highlights at the Apartheid Museum.
Victoria Falls: Even with only half the water, a truly magical site. Chobe River and the game drive in Chobe National Park were a perfect ending to our trip.”

DIDIER KAHN ( COUPLE, SELF DRIVE)

“Thank you Vanessa for this great trip. We spent only 15 days in South Africa but felt like we stayed a month because you itinerary allowed us to move swiftly and take advantage of many magnificent places”

THOMAS & STEPHANE, SELF DRIVE

“We returned a week ago from a trip to South Africa. We traveled with my wife and my 21 year old daughter. We prepared this 9 day trip with Vanessa and it included car rental, transfer, hotels, guide, game reserves.
We spent the first day in Johannesburg with a local guide (Thomas) and the presence of Vanessa all day. It was a memorable day. Thomas is a super friendly and knowledgeable guide. As for Vanessa, she is available and always very pleasant. In addition, she speaks French perfectly. The next day, our car was delivered to the hotel. The week went by without problem. Everything was very well organized and the services were in line with what we had booked. A few messages from Vanessa during the week to see if everything is going well.
We strongly recommend Kamaroutes: Vanessa is young but she is already a great professional. She knows how to surround herself with competent people and really deserves to be trusted.
If we go back to Southern Africa it is without hesitation that we will contact Kamaroutes again. Good luck to Kamaroutes and Vanessa.”
