Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Tanzania
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Your journey begins today, after some quick formalities. You will be exploring the cultures, traditions, delicious food and have incredible safari experiences!
Upon arrival at Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and driver who will assist with your luggage. You will be taken to your lodge in Arusha where you will stay overnight
Day 2 - A day in Tarangire
In the morning and afternoon, you will explore the Tarangire National Park. In the dry season, large herds of elephants can churn up the sandy riverbed in search of water. The area around the river is then a gathering place for all kinds of animals. It is one of the few places where gerenuk (giraffe antelope) and eland can be found. The landscape of Tarangire is impressive because of the amount of enormous baobab trees. Later in the evening, you drive to your lodge for the overnight.
Day 3 - Serengeti, here we come!
Today, you will embark on a scenic drive towards the renowned Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy a thrilling game drive and a leisurely picnic lunch. As you delve deeper into the Serengeti, witness the vast plains teeming with wildlife. This iconic park, along with the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Kenya's Maasai Mara, forms a vast ecosystem where animals roam freely.
You will spend the next two nights at a luxurious lodge nestled amidst the park's breathtaking landscapes.
Day 4 - A day in the Serengeti
Day 4 unfolds with an early morning game drive through the Serengeti National Park, where you will encounter a diverse array of wildlife. After a delicious lunch at a tented camp, you'll continue your safari adventure with another game drive in the afternoon.
The Serengeti, one of the world's most renowned wildlife reserves, offers vast savannahs dotted with rocky outcrops, perfect vantage points for predators. The lion population is large, you have a reasonable chance of encountering a group.
With a bit of luck, you might even witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration. Indeed, after bearing their young in February and March, around April the wildebeest herds begin to drift northwest toward the fresher grass of the central Serengeti, drawing with them thousands of zebra and smaller groups of antelope.
Day 5 - Arrival at Ngorongoro
After a satisfying breakfast, prepare for a journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the historic Olduvai Gorge, a renowned archaeological site often referred to as the "Cradle of Humanity." This ancient volcanic caldera, once as high as Mount Kilimanjaro, now forms a breathtaking landscape that supports a diverse range of wildlife. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch before immersing yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people with a visit to a traditional Maasai village.
Day 6 - Explore Ngorongoro
You will spend the whole day exploring the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descending into the crater. The 19-kilometre wide, dry crater floor has approximately the same climatic conditions as the Serengeti National Park. In the crater lies Lake Magadi, a shallow soda lake. With approximately 30,000 animals, the crater is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world. You will have a picnic lunch at the bottom of the crater. Later you will drive back to your Lodge for the overnight.
Day 7 - Meet the Hadzabe and Datoga
Step back in time with a visit to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes near Lake Eyasi, where ancient traditions thrive. The Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Africa, will share their unique way of life, from foraging and hunting with handmade bows to storytelling around a fire. Join them on a morning hunt or learn to craft tools from natural materials.
Nearby, the Datoga tribe offers a glimpse into their pastoralist lifestyle. Watch skilled blacksmiths create intricate jewelry and tools using traditional techniques, and interact with villagers to learn about their customs and daily routines. This immersive cultural experience is a window into the rich, enduring heritage of Tanzania’s indigenous peoples.
Day 8 - On the way to Zanzibar
Say farewell to Arusha and embark on a thrilling flight to the enchanting island of Zanzibar. Soar through the skies, taking in breathtaking aerial views of tropical atolls and pristine beaches.
A cultural melting pot with a rich history, Zanzibar has captivated travellers for centuries. To the shores of the island came Summerians, Assyrians, Hindus, Egyptians, Arabians, Chinese and Portugese, all sailing in on Monsoon Winds. Waiting like a diamond in the crystal-clear waters, Zanzibar is a cultural melting pot of Arab, European and Swahili traditions and is without a doubt one of the world’s most beautiful islands.

Day 9 - Explore Jambiani
Jambiani, a serene coastal village, offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here, you can unwind on pristine beaches, immerse yourself in local culture, and disconnect from the digital world. With its calm waters and soft white sands, Jambiani is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.
Explore the nearby caves or rent a bike to cycle through the charming village. For aquatic adventures, head to the Blue Lagoon, a shallow, crystal-clear snorkeling spot teeming with marine life. Or, dive into the deeper waters to discover vibrant coral reefs and encounter diverse marine species like seahorses, octopuses, stingrays, and turtles. Jambiani’s regular side shore winds make it a popular kitesurfing destination.
Jambiani’s laid-back atmosphere and unspoiled beauty make it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful and authentic beach holiday. Jambiani has been untouched by commercial tourism, so you will not be approached by street sellers on the beach.
Day 10 - Day at leisure in Zanzibar
In addition to the traditional excursions to explore the island, you can take a guided tour through the picturesque village of Jambiani. The village has remained untouched by mass tourism; and here you can still experience authentic Africa.You will get to know a Zanzibar full of a rich history and fascinating legends worth study and you can do it through the direct contact with the local people and their customs.
Moreover, every Wednesday, you can indulge in a typical Swahili dinner, immersed in the scents and flavours of Zanzibar, with a buffet accompanied by music played by local artists and an acrobatic show!
Day 11 - Goodbye Tanzania!
After breakfast in the hotel, you can take your time and explore a little bit more or relax and wait for your transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight back home.
